2013 Spring Vacation – Mission San Juan Capistrano

April 9, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Capistrano Mission-13We loved our visit to the Mission. The girls ran crazy through the gardens, smelled more flowers than they ever have, picked fruit from trees and explored the old mission. The staff was really welcoming and even picked some fruit for the girls. Then, the girls carried the fruits for hours.

Here are a few cute snapshots of the girls during our most recent adventure: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – Aquarium of the Pacific

April 8, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

AquariumPacific-16Our girls love fish… Throw in some cute little birds they can feed, penguins and acreage to run around and you’ve got the making of a great outing. We love the Aquarium of the Pacific — big enough to see diversity, but small enough that our girls leave with remaining energy. Today, Kate got to feed tons of little Lorikeets in the 3,200-square-foot Lorikeet Forest. On our way in, we bought cups of nectar and the birds happily fly over and drink while standing on your arm, the fence or wherever they can to get the sweet drink. Kate held a few cups while Sophie watched in amazement – I think she wanted to grab one!

While we’re spending our 2013 Spring Vacation in SoCal, we had to stop to play at Long Beach’s aquarium. Here are a few pictures: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – Lantern Park

LanternBayPark-14The girls love Lantern Park and who wouldn’t. There are walking and biking paths that go around the park. And did I mention the views, awesome panoramic views of the ocean, Doheny Beach, Dana Point Harbor and beyond. You can sit there and watch the surf. Oh, the breezes are great and it never seems to be hot here.

Here are some pictures of the girls: [Read more…]

2012 Xmas

December 25, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

_MG_5545Merry Christmas. Our girls aren’t old enough to wake us early to open presents. Sadly, they are young enough to simply wake us early! So, on this beautiful Christmas morning, Jenny and I witnessed the shear excitement our children gleam from ripping open gift wrap. I’m not sure they even care about the gifts inside, but they certainly love the opening process.

Our friends and family overdid it this year too. Kate and Sophie have more books, animals, toys to chew on, some to ride, others that play music and a few that require assembly. Here are some pictures of our morning: [Read more…]

Family Pictures from Our Alaskan Cruise

July 22, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Alaskan Cruise-34A big thanks to Ba Ngoai and Ong Ngoai for taking the family on this Alaskan Cruise. Over the last few years, we’ve had the pleasure of traveling with our extended family included Ba Ngoai, Ong Ngoai, Co Noi, Co Hong, Aunt Mary, Aunt Tam, Jenny, the girls and yours truly.

We arrived in Seattle in time to enjoy a day/night in the city before boarding the Norwegian Jewel on July 14th for a seven night cruise. It was an amazing cruise and the only way to really see such beautiful sites through Alaska. We stopped in ports at Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, BC, Canada. Along the way, we traversed fjords, saw plenty of iceburgs, eagles, seaplanes and glaciers. [Read more…]

Alaska Cruise – Touring Butchart Gardens

July 21, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

IMG_1075Our family cruise stopped in Victoria, BC and I’ve been dreaming of returning ever sense. While most of the disembarking cruisers headed to the restaurants, bars and shops, our family hired a driver to take us to Butchart Gardens. With one million visitors touring every year, you know there is something here to see. Plan on spending as much of the day here as possible and prepare to walk hills, steps and rough terrain. It is totally worth it to see the various sections including the Sunken Garden, Concert Lawn Walk, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Mediterranean Garden. [Read more…]

Alaskan Wilderness Pictures

Alaska-24The Alaskan wilderness isn’t too accessible, but our cruise took us to several beautiful, hard-to-get-to places. We stopped in ports at Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, BC, Canada and then Toured Butchart Gardens. Below you’ll find several pictures from our time at sea (or fjords) and land.

5 Minutes w/ Shaquille O’Neal

February 11, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

IMG_1975Shaquille O’Neal is one giant man. Tonight, my publist couldn’t resist snapping a picture of Shaq and I hanging out in Orlando. We were both at an event and the girls at Konnect PR couldn’t resist. So, they pulled Shaq over and we spent a few minutes chatting and then, after a quick picture, he was pulled away!

At 7’1” and 325 lbs, this guy is intimidating to stand beside — I couldn’t imagine squaring off with him on the court. His hands enveloped my “tiny hands” while his feet (size 23) are actually twice my 11.5. Shaq is a pretty nice guy. He took time to chat despite many people vying for his attention. Thanks Shaq!

PS: Shaquille means “Little Warrior” in Arabic.

Spring 2011 Photoshoot-26Now that the weather is warm and Kate is mobile, we headed over to the Houstonian Hotel & Resort to snap some pictures. I’m a lucky guy to have these two beautiful girls in my life. Kate is certain a happy, active and vocal little girl. And, words simply cannot describe the amazing woman that changed her name from “Vu” to Mrs. Pozadzides.

We are amazingly fortunate and I hope you like these pictures. [Read more…]

2011 Spring Vacation – Hemingway, Truman, Mallory Square & More

March 16, 2011 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

KeyWest-85Today, we spent the day just wondering around the city in search of landmarks, kid-friendly activities and “gotta see” stuff. It was a really relaxing day despite the heat. However, we found plenty of indoor places to cool down and intermixed them throughout the day.

For our history lesson today, we visited Harry Truman’s The Little White House. It was initially a naval station’s command headquarters during the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II. In 1946, President Harry S. Truman started using it as his winter home. [Read more…]
