2013 Spring Vacation – Beach Play

April 11, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Laguna Beach-27The girls love building sand castles, hunting for shells, flying kites and leaving footprints on the sand. So, we spent this week hanging out at the Doheny State Beach and Laguna Beach. The weather was great, the skies completely sunny and the sand perfect for castle building. However, the girls aren’t too excited about the cold water.

Here’s a collection of snapshots from our time at the beach. Enjoy the pictures: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – San Diego Zoo

April 10, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

SanDiegoZoo2013-19So, the girls asked, “what are we doing today?” Mommy says, “we’re going to the Zoo!” The girls scream in unison, “YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!” On our first trip with Kate a year ago, we learned first hand the size of the zoo. So on this trip, we opted for the 45-minute Guided Bus Tour that covers about 70 percent of the Zoo.

During our trip, Kate and Sophie got to see the following: rhinos, monkeys, giraffes, pandas, elephants, tigers, reindeer, zebras, bears and loads of other animals.

Here are some pictures from our trip: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – Mission San Juan Capistrano

April 9, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Capistrano Mission-13We loved our visit to the Mission. The girls ran crazy through the gardens, smelled more flowers than they ever have, picked fruit from trees and explored the old mission. The staff was really welcoming and even picked some fruit for the girls. Then, the girls carried the fruits for hours.

Here are a few cute snapshots of the girls during our most recent adventure: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – Aquarium of the Pacific

April 8, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

AquariumPacific-16Our girls love fish… Throw in some cute little birds they can feed, penguins and acreage to run around and you’ve got the making of a great outing. We love the Aquarium of the Pacific — big enough to see diversity, but small enough that our girls leave with remaining energy. Today, Kate got to feed tons of little Lorikeets in the 3,200-square-foot Lorikeet Forest. On our way in, we bought cups of nectar and the birds happily fly over and drink while standing on your arm, the fence or wherever they can to get the sweet drink. Kate held a few cups while Sophie watched in amazement – I think she wanted to grab one!

While we’re spending our 2013 Spring Vacation in SoCal, we had to stop to play at Long Beach’s aquarium. Here are a few pictures: [Read more…]

2013 Spring Vacation – Lantern Park

April 8, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

LanternBayPark-14The girls love Lantern Park and who wouldn’t. There are walking and biking paths that go around the park. And did I mention the views, awesome panoramic views of the ocean, Doheny Beach, Dana Point Harbor and beyond. You can sit there and watch the surf. Oh, the breezes are great and it never seems to be hot here.

Here are some pictures of the girls: [Read more…]

February’s Park Trips

February 23, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

February2013ParkTrip_25While the rest of the country is freezing and buried under snow, February is perfect for trips to the park. Throw on a jacket and you can play for hours without freezing or breaking a sweat. Sophie turned one last month and Kate just turned three! We load the girls in a wagon and make the short walk down the street to our community park.

Here is a collection of shots from our trips throughout February: [Read more…]

Sophia Tuyen Pozadzides’ Baptism

January 12, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Sophia_Baptism-16Today, we celebrated Sophie’s baptism at our church, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX. Uncle John (Godfather) and Aunt Mary (Godmother) came as witnesses along with many of our close friends and family. Sophie did great with only a few tears.

Afterwards, we hosted a party at our house with face-painting, balloon-making professional and more than enough food to feed those gathered. Most importantly, this was a great day for Sophie and our family. We were honored to have our closest loved ones in attendance.

A very special thanks to Deacon Ralph Risk, Father Thomas F. Rafferty and the St. Padua family. Here are some pictures of the festivities: [Read more…]

Aunt Mary’s Photoshoot

January 9, 2013 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

VuPhotoShoot_1Aunt Mary’s excellent Christmas present this year was my favorite: pictures! Some people collect baseball cards, movies, songs and other stuff — I collect pictures. So, we now have some great snapshots of our girls, Ba Ngoai (Jenny’s mom) Ong Ngoai (Jenny’s dad) and Aunt Mary.

PS: The girls love Aunt Mary. She’s fun and her eye for fashion keeps our girls looking runway ready!

Thanks Auntie for these great memories: [Read more…]

2012 Xmas

December 25, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

_MG_5545Merry Christmas. Our girls aren’t old enough to wake us early to open presents. Sadly, they are young enough to simply wake us early! So, on this beautiful Christmas morning, Jenny and I witnessed the shear excitement our children gleam from ripping open gift wrap. I’m not sure they even care about the gifts inside, but they certainly love the opening process.

Our friends and family overdid it this year too. Kate and Sophie have more books, animals, toys to chew on, some to ride, others that play music and a few that require assembly. Here are some pictures of our morning: [Read more…]

Halloween 2012

October 27, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Halloween 2012-8Boo… It’s highly unlikely that these cute little girls are going to scare you! Although, you do run the risk of “cuteness” exposure as Kate and Sophie prepare for Halloween. This year, Kate pitched her fairy costume and we [Jenny & I] couldn’t resist transforming Sophie into a beautiful flower. In retrospect, Sophie looks like she’s having about as much fun as Randy in The Christmas Story.

The Woodlands always has something to do. This year, we took the girls to a couple big community Halloween events. We broke out the Radio Flyer wagon for our great adventures throughout The Woodlands and to/from our local park. Still being relatively new to parenthood, I would imagine most parents would rate a wagon as a “must have.” Here are some pictures of our girls from this weekend: [Read more…]
