A big thank you to my sister-in-law, Mary, for including our girls in her photoshoot with Ong Ngoai (Jenny’s dad) and Ba Ngoai (Jenny’s mom). Our girls definitely enjoyed the time, attention and costume and scene changes. We enjoyed the watching and, equally important, we love the pictures.

Today, we celebrated Sophie’s baptism at our church, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX. Uncle John (Godfather) and Aunt Mary (Godmother) came as witnesses along with many of our close friends and family. Sophie did great with only a few tears.
Afterwards, we hosted a party at our house with face-painting, balloon-making professional and more than enough food to feed those gathered. Most importantly, this was a great day for Sophie and our family. We were honored to have our closest loved ones in attendance.

Aunt Mary’s excellent Christmas present this year was my favorite: pictures! Some people collect baseball cards, movies, songs and other stuff — I collect pictures. So, we now have some great snapshots of our girls, Ba Ngoai (Jenny’s mom) Ong Ngoai (Jenny’s dad) and Aunt Mary.
PS: The girls love Aunt Mary. She’s fun and her eye for fashion keeps our girls looking runway ready!

Now that the weather is warm and Kate is mobile, we headed over to the Houstonian Hotel & Resort to snap some pictures. I’m a lucky guy to have these two beautiful girls in my life. Kate is certain a happy, active and vocal little girl. And, words simply cannot describe the amazing woman that changed her name from “Vu” to Mrs. Pozadzides.

Today, our little Katherine Thuy Pozadzides was baptized at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Houston, TX. Uncle John (Godfather) and Aunt Mary (Godmother) came as witnesses along with many of our close friends and family. Father Ross (the same priest from our wedding) delivered a wonderful opening and blessing. Kate was fine with the ceremony up to the point where the Holy Water and sacred oil came out. She certainly didn’t like getting wet and contributed to the baptismal font with plenty of her own tears.
Afterwards, friends and family headed back to our house. There was plenty of food to feed everyone including a full roasted pig and beautiful cakes to celebrate the event. Above all, we’re blessed to have Kate, our family and friends in our lives.

While the summers are painful in Houston, the winters are so mild to kinda makes up for the other blistering months. Jenny, Kate, little Sophie (still kicking and punching inside Mommy) and I headed out to the Japanese Gardens in Houston to memorialize this time in our life. Sophie should be joining us in just two month, and Jenny is amazingly mobile all things considered. Kate is coming up on her second birthday and eagerly awaits her new sister. Recently, we gave Kate a little doll to start practicing how to carefully touch, hold, and play with a baby. She is so excited to be a big sister and frequently talks to her sister through mommy’s belly.

Jenny and I left the party around 11:30, but we later learned that it kept going for hours. I guess hosting a event with an open bar, music that doesn’t stop and a dance floor tends to prolong the party.
At some point during the dancing, we paused for me to find that ever-elusive garter belt. Once found and distributed, Jenny and I say our good byes.
Oh, and if you were on that dance floor, there’s a good chance you’re in one of the pictures below. While our wedding photographer flaked out of us shortly after we left, he did manage to snap a few funny ones. Young and old, there were moves from several decades and lots of smiles.

We all had a blast! Jenny, our extended families, hundreds of our friends and I spent a great evening together celebrating our marriage.
Jenny, her parents, Lisa (the made of honor), John (best man) and I visited each table to welcome our guests. Following Vietnamese tradition, each table selected a host to offer congratulations and good wishes. Customarily, the table toasts the bride and groom with cognac, wine or other tasty adult drinks. Needless to say, after visiting thirty two tables, Jenny and I were paying much attention to our sore feet.
