The list below is full of our issues. Since this was my first cruise, some of these may be simply reflect my unrealistic expectations. We have friends who cruise for every vacation. We’ll inevitably do it again when the girls are older and after I’ve overhauled my expectations. However, I can definitely say the cruising isn’t for everyone.

Our family cruise stopped in Victoria, BC and I’ve been dreaming of returning ever sense. While most of the disembarking cruisers headed to the restaurants, bars and shops, our family hired a driver to take us to Butchart Gardens. With one million visitors touring every year, you know there is something here to see. Plan on spending as much of the day here as possible and prepare to walk hills, steps and rough terrain. It is totally worth it to see the various sections including the Sunken Garden, Concert Lawn Walk, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Mediterranean Garden. [Read more…]
The Alaskan wilderness isn’t too accessible, but our cruise took us to several beautiful, hard-to-get-to places. We stopped in ports at Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, BC, Canada and then Toured Butchart Gardens. Below you’ll find several pictures from our time at sea (or fjords) and land.

After three year, countless hours, and many sleepless nights, Jenny’s fellowship has ended. Along the way, we made some tremendous friends. Sadly, many are now moving away to pursue their Oncology careers.

We’re really fortunate to have a fantastic part-time nanny who just loves “art time.” It’s amazing how art can engage children and Kate is in heaven during creative playtime. Shaquille O’Neal is one giant man. Tonight, my publist couldn’t resist snapping a picture of Shaq and I hanging out in Orlando. We were both at an event and the girls at Konnect PR couldn’t resist. So, they pulled Shaq over and we spent a few minutes chatting and then, after a quick picture, he was pulled away!
At 7’1” and 325 lbs, this guy is intimidating to stand beside — I couldn’t imagine squaring off with him on the court. His hands enveloped my “tiny hands” while his feet (size 23) are actually twice my 11.5. Shaq is a pretty nice guy. He took time to chat despite many people vying for his attention. Thanks Shaq!
PS: Shaquille means “Little Warrior” in Arabic.
Today, we celebrated Kate’s 2nd birthday and Sophia’s 1-month birthday with forty of our closest family and friends from all over the country. A special thanks to Jenny’s parents, aunt and uncle and our close friends for bringing all the wonderful food…including a fully roasted pig! Further, a big thank you to everyone who attended. It’s great to have so many people invested in our lives. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and that’s why we keep inviting you to our parties! 🙂

Happy Anniversary to my wonderfully beautiful wife. Amazingly, you’ve put up with me for four years of marriage and you haven’t shown any signs of buyers remorse. You obviously set your expectations really low here!
Thanks for being my best friend, wife, confidant, adventurer, adviser, partner in crime and so much more. You are so much more than I expected! And, you’re proof that I am an amazing sales guy!

Everyday with Sophia is amazing… While we’ve been home only a few days, Sophia is alert and pretty laid back. Certainly, Jenny gets 100% of the credit for her wonderful around-the-clock care of Sophia! Today, we gave Sophia her first real bath. And by “we”, I mean Jenny! At first, Sophia didn’t know how to process the bath, but she did like the time with mom and getting all soapy. Jenny definitely loved the time with her and is feeling better.

At 12:15PM today, Sophia Tuyen Pozadzides made her big debut! Measuring 7.3 pounds and 20 inches long, she is in great health and sleeping peacefully along side Jenny.
