Halloween 2012

October 27, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Halloween 2012-8Boo… It’s highly unlikely that these cute little girls are going to scare you! Although, you do run the risk of “cuteness” exposure as Kate and Sophie prepare for Halloween. This year, Kate pitched her fairy costume and we [Jenny & I] couldn’t resist transforming Sophie into a beautiful flower. In retrospect, Sophie looks like she’s having about as much fun as Randy in The Christmas Story.

The Woodlands always has something to do. This year, we took the girls to a couple big community Halloween events. We broke out the Radio Flyer wagon for our great adventures throughout The Woodlands and to/from our local park. Still being relatively new to parenthood, I would imagine most parents would rate a wagon as a “must have.” Here are some pictures of our girls from this weekend: [Read more…]

Kate on Stairs

Kate on Stairs-5Every morning the girls come down stairs on their way to Kate’s school. They stop by my office for a kiss and then off they go.

This morning, Kate called, “Daddy, come to the stairs. Will you take my picture?” First, it is challenging to say “no” to this cute brown-eyed girl. Secondly, my camera is never far away. That said, here are the cute pictures from today: [Read more…]

Sophia’s Summer Pictures

August 1, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Sophia_7months-13At seven months old, Sophie is growing so fast and crawling everywhere. Sophie is such a happy baby and loves playing with Kate! Max has become Sophie’s loyal doggy as she gives him the most love… and plenty of snacks! Today was a beautiful day with just enough fluffy clouds in the sky to let your imagination run wild. So, I grabbed the camera and snapped a few pictures of Sophie at our house. As you can tell, it doesn’t require much skill to make her smile or capture her beauty.

I hope you like these snapshots: [Read more…]

Cruising Lessons Learned

July 24, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

problemshipThe list below is full of our issues. Since this was my first cruise, some of these may be simply reflect my unrealistic expectations. We have friends who cruise for every vacation. We’ll inevitably do it again when the girls are older and after I’ve overhauled my expectations. However, I can definitely say the cruising isn’t for everyone.

Here’s a list of my Top 10 Lessons Learned: [Read more…]

Family Pictures from Our Alaskan Cruise

July 22, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

Alaskan Cruise-34A big thanks to Ba Ngoai and Ong Ngoai for taking the family on this Alaskan Cruise. Over the last few years, we’ve had the pleasure of traveling with our extended family included Ba Ngoai, Ong Ngoai, Co Noi, Co Hong, Aunt Mary, Aunt Tam, Jenny, the girls and yours truly.

We arrived in Seattle in time to enjoy a day/night in the city before boarding the Norwegian Jewel on July 14th for a seven night cruise. It was an amazing cruise and the only way to really see such beautiful sites through Alaska. We stopped in ports at Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, BC, Canada. Along the way, we traversed fjords, saw plenty of iceburgs, eagles, seaplanes and glaciers. [Read more…]

Alaska Cruise – Touring Butchart Gardens

July 21, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

IMG_1075Our family cruise stopped in Victoria, BC and I’ve been dreaming of returning ever sense. While most of the disembarking cruisers headed to the restaurants, bars and shops, our family hired a driver to take us to Butchart Gardens. With one million visitors touring every year, you know there is something here to see. Plan on spending as much of the day here as possible and prepare to walk hills, steps and rough terrain. It is totally worth it to see the various sections including the Sunken Garden, Concert Lawn Walk, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Mediterranean Garden. [Read more…]

Alaskan Wilderness Pictures

Alaska-24The Alaskan wilderness isn’t too accessible, but our cruise took us to several beautiful, hard-to-get-to places. We stopped in ports at Ketchikan, Skagway and Victoria, BC, Canada and then Toured Butchart Gardens. Below you’ll find several pictures from our time at sea (or fjords) and land.

2012 MDA Fellowship Pizza Party

2012 Pizza Party-1After three year, countless hours, and many sleepless nights, Jenny’s fellowship has ended. Along the way, we made some tremendous friends. Sadly, many are now moving away to pursue their Oncology careers.

Since fellowship began, we’ve tried our best to provide a home-away-from-home for these out-of-towners. To say “congrats”, we invited the team over for a little pizza party. Today, we decided to let everyone personalize their pizza and here’s a little glimpse: [Read more…]

Kate’s Artwork

Kate Art-18Just in time for Easter, we’re happy to showcase our little Van Gogh’s artwork. We’re really fortunate to have a fantastic part-time nanny who just loves “art time.” It’s amazing how art can engage children and Kate is in heaven during creative playtime. This artwork stems over the last year from various times.

I hope you like her creative work: [Read more…]

5 Minutes w/ Shaquille O’Neal

February 11, 2012 By Kirk Pozadzides Leave a Comment

IMG_1975Shaquille O’Neal is one giant man. Tonight, my publist couldn’t resist snapping a picture of Shaq and I hanging out in Orlando. We were both at an event and the girls at Konnect PR couldn’t resist. So, they pulled Shaq over and we spent a few minutes chatting and then, after a quick picture, he was pulled away!

At 7’1” and 325 lbs, this guy is intimidating to stand beside — I couldn’t imagine squaring off with him on the court. His hands enveloped my “tiny hands” while his feet (size 23) are actually twice my 11.5. Shaq is a pretty nice guy. He took time to chat despite many people vying for his attention. Thanks Shaq!

PS: Shaquille means “Little Warrior” in Arabic.
