Tonight was a great night! Jenny’s uncles and aunts came to Houston to have dinner for their mom, Ba Noi.

At 5:15AM this morning, Kate Thuy Pozadzides arrived! Measuring 8.15 pounds and 20.5 inches long, she is in great health and sleeping peacefully as this message is being written.
Jenny is healthy, happy and getting some much needed rest… She deserves it! Kate is beautiful… Life just changed forever and we are so blessed!

Well, the day has finally come, we’re packed and its time! We’re heading to the hospital to welcome Katherine (Kate) Thuy Pozadzides to the world.

Today’s doctor visit brought little news other than a healthy mom and baby ready to deliver any day (37 weeks). But, we did receive three new pictures of Kate. Remember, ultrasound pictures don’t always yield the clearest images. They sometime remind me of ink blot or cloud gazing.

As you may know, my mom is a Gordon and one of six children… This year, Jenny and I headed to Alabama to reconnect with family for Thanksgiving. Vallie & Jeff (my cousins) hosted a fantastic Thanksgiving lunch followed by a second family reunion at my mom’s house on Friday. Needless to say, we had plenty to eat.
This trip was especially exciting since Jenny got to meet all my aunts and uncles (and spouses). We have a big, happy family and there were plenty of stories to go around. This was a great opportunity to connect with many of my cousins; some of whom I’ve not seen in years.

Congrats to my brilliant (and beautiful) wife! Today, Dr. Jenny Pozadzides received confirmation that she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Today marks a major milestone in Jenny’s training. Please join this proud husband in congratulating her for years of training, studying and “blood, sweat and tears!”
As you might remember, Jenny is a fellow at MD Anderson pursuing Oncology and Hematology.
We’re having a girl… We’re officially due on Monday, February 8, 2010. That means, we’re officially in Week 20 and our baby is the size of a Mango (6.5 in, and 10 oz).
