Jenny and I both agree there is never a good time for vacation… These days our demanding work load, personal and professional commitments and challenging economy make it tough to “get away!’ We had a fantastic Greek adventure with great sights, tastes and memories. As always, we would wish for more time together in such a beautiful country.

Most importantly, Jenny and I feel fortunate! Greece is struggling! It’s easy to focus on Greece’s natural beauty and forget its third world status.

The youth of Greece are lost and jobless (not due to recent global economic challenges, but for other, bigger systemic reasons). The youth seem disenfranchised and walking down the path of victimization! While the European Union’s investment in Greece helps repair its poor infrastructure, the general population struggles daily to combat the resulting inflation and lack of jobs.

Jenny and I leave hoping inspiration, accountability and transformation will hit! With so much beauty and history, it tragic to see the once-mighty Greece in the condition it is today.

Nevertheless, the crystal clear blue water, rugged landscapes and romantic sunsets are unbelievable… We did our part contributing to their economic recovery with two weeks of food, fun and shopping!
