Sophia’s First Real Bath

by Kirk Pozadzides on January 17, 2012

Everyday with Sophia is amazing… While we’ve been home only a few days, Sophia is alert and pretty laid back. Certainly, Jenny gets 100% of the credit for her wonderful around-the-clock care of Sophia!

Today, we gave Sophia her first real bath. And by “we”, I mean Jenny! At first, she didn’t know how to respond to being submerged in the warm water and the soap bubbles. I have to believe our Carla Bruni background music had the same soothing impact it has on us.

Check out the pictures below… I know every parent must think their children are beautiful and we’re no different. But, come on… Sophia is a looker, right? [click to continue…]

Kate Loves Outdoor Adventure

by Kirk Pozadzides on November 17, 2011

For every complaint you hear about living through the hot Texas summers, there are benefits. While my collegues in the Northeast are freezing, we’re enjoying 70s-80 degree weather in November. Kate is having a blast and we’re happy to tire her out before bedtime. Below you’ll see a few pictures from two recent adventures to Hermann Park in Houston and Market Street in The Woodlands.

Kate is definately growing up and desperately wanting her independence. It’s difficult to let go when she hasn’t learned what’s acceptable to put in her mouth! Nevertheless, the terrible twos have some redeeming features. Kate absorbs things (and sometimes daddy’s bad words) like a sponge and is developing an impressive bi-lingual vocabulary. Note: When she pats the chair beside her and says sh$t, she is really saying “sit.” And, she didn’t learn that one from me!!! [click to continue…]

2010 Christmas Dinner Party

December 26, 2010

This year, we celebrated Christmas Dinner ’10 with family and friends at our house. After our two Thanksgiving dinners, we were pretty tired of Turkey, Ham and Brisket, so we opted for Steak, Scallops, Shrimp and Fish. It was good and we have plenty of left overs to munch on for the next few days. [...]

Kate’s First Christmas

December 25, 2010

Today, we watched our baby girl celebrate her first Christmas. While she won’t remember it (except from these pictures), she had a blast ripping, munching, crawling all over her new presents. Our friends and family over did it this year with their fantastic presents for Kate: tons of new books, plush toys, toys for riding [...]

Diaper Time Has Never Been So Cute

August 24, 2010

There is a Vietnamese phrase (mèo khen mèo dài đuôi) that tells a story about a mother cat telling her kitten that she has such a beautiful tail. I hear that phrase all the time from my in-laws after I compliment my wife or daughter… After all, as a husband and father I have the [...]

Kate Relaxes on the Patio

August 24, 2010

Leaving Houston’s August heat (105 degree + humidity) for sunny, cool California was just what the doctor ordered! We spent a week traveling to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Tahoe. During our travels, the family and I were relaxing on a patio enjoying a beautiful 75 degree day. Kate is growing so fast and we [...]
