Breath-Taking Sunset @ Oia In Santorini

by Kirk Pozadzides on May 26, 2009

img_09601After spending some time in Fira (the capital), we ventured to Oia (pronounced E-a) to watch the world-famous sunset. The contrasting colors, building shapes and ruins make it a picturesque location… Couple that with breathtaking views and even amateur photographers can make a few nice pictures…

Travel Note: The 20-minute bus ride to Oia costs 1.40E one-way and a taxi costs 15E. The sun set ends around 8M, but most of the action occurs between 7:30-8PM. Get there a bit early to find your spot. Since this is the most photographed location in Greece, you’ll see plenty of people with cameras bigger than yours.

Here’s a few more pictures of Jenny, Tom, Annie and me:

You’re making me SO jealous! I always thought I’d like to visit Greece, but now I have to put it on my “must visit” list!
